Evolution
At Hudson Valley Herpetological we spend a lot of time thinking about evolution. A controversial term, much debate surrounds evolution today in the United States. Is it a fact? Is it a theory? Can it be both simultaneously? As enthusiastic readers of Charles Darwin and studies in evolutionary biology, we've found the concept of evolution to be an enormously useful tool through which to view the world around us, and especially so as applied to the world of snake breeding. With that in mind, we've tried to provide an in-depth overview of what one famous author has called "Darwin's Dangerous Idea." Here you will find information regarding the origins of evolution as an idea, how it works, and its evolution through time, as well as some other evolution-related odds and ends.
